Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committees (JOHSC) are a vital part of supporting workplace health and safety.
That’s why SWITCH BC, with funding from the Nurses’ Bargaining Association and the Facilities’ Bargaining Association, and in collaboration with our partners, is working on a new online resource centre to help these committees do their work. Having the tools and resources to effectively support JOHSC findings and recommendations is crucial to improving the culture of safety.
We need your help. Share your ideas and questions below to help inform the new resource centre.
Some of the planned features include:
Meeting support, including agenda setting, scheduling, and minutes management
Committee management, including Terms of Reference, membership, and settings
Easy tracking of action items and decisions
Access to investigation and incident reports
21 Day recommendation letters
Role-based dashboards and reporting
Everyone working in healthcare has the right to be safe and healthy, to thrive on the job and to return home safely to family and friends. Your ideas will make the resource centre meet the needs of JOHSC throughout B.C. Thank you!
