SWITCH BC is updating the Provincial Violence Prevention Curriculum (PVPC) training. If you work in healthcare, you are invited to register for an engagement session below.
Online Engagement Sessions
These one-hour sessions are designed for specific audiences, to allow for conversation as it relates to workplaces and roles. Registration is required and eligible participants will be thanked with a $50 gift card. Based on your role and schedule, we recommend attending a session based on your workplace. There are also sessions grouped by union membership.

Supports, if and when you need them
Your workplace may provide employer paid mental health supports, such as an Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) or extended health coverage for sessions with a mental health professional. Contact your manager, union representative, or HR team member for information or look into free options below.

In-person sessions
These sessions are designed to accommodate your schedule and engagement preference with two options for participating face-to-face. Register either in advance or at the door.

Participants should plan to attend for 60 minutes. Eligible participants will be thanked for their time with a $50 gift card.

The fine print
Participants are responsible for confirming supervisor permission to attend during work time and for confirming that participation does not violate their employment agreements.
To receive a gift card, participants must be a current employee in a B.C. healthcare organization and complete the full session. Participants are responsible for confirming acceptance of this gift does not violate employee agreements. They may be asked to show proof of employment.
Focus groups and online sessions will be documented through anonymous written transcripts, which will be collected and managed by SWITCH BC. If you have any questions about the collection of the transcripts, please contact hello@switchbc.ca.
